With 30 years in the automotive aftermarket, Tammy Tecklenburg is known for bringing out the best in people and building teams where alignment drives results. Her career spans global Fortune 500 organizations, where she led growth by focusing on how people show up, collaborate, and perform.

As a catalyst and former President of the Women in Auto Care community, Tammy helped create space for women to advance and thrive in an industry where representation has grown to 27 percent of the workforce. Her work continues to expand access and opportunity across the aftermarket.

She is the Founder and CEO of dott.®, an award-winning consultancy grounded in diversity of thought. dott.® helps organizations strengthen culture, leadership, and performance by aligning people, purpose, and presence.

Awards & Recognitions

  • Since 1975, the Northwood University Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award is given annually to industry leaders throughout the country who have made noteworthy contributions to education, on any level, inside or outside of the industry.

  • This award is presented annually to a woman who is a leader, mentor, and role model who has made significant and outstanding contributions to the auto care industry throughout her entire career in the industry, leaving a legacy behind her.

  • To recognize the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket and to celebrate those individuals and organizations who champion the spirit of DEI in their organizations and communities, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers created the Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Awards. MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers recognizes one individual from a member company and one member company who meet the following qualifications.

    Individual Award Criteria:

    •Influential leader in the aftermarket

    •Inspires others in the industry and future generations of industry leaders.

    •Supports, advances, and/or embodies core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    •Advanced and advocated for DEI within the industry and/or within their organization

    • Works collaboratively with others to achieve DEI objectives in the aftermarket setting and encourages positive outcomes as part of larger solutions.

  • The Auto Care Education (ACE) Award recognizes auto care companies dedicated to excellence in education. The award was initially created by the Auto Care Association Education Committee to acknowledge aftermarket companies dedicated to employee professional development and growth. As the industry adapts and innovates to changing business needs, the award has been expanded to recognize industry companies dedicated to investing in the growth of knowledge and skills within their organization and/or throughout the industry.

    Award-winning companies are acknowledged as leaders in the industry. The Auto Care Association promotes the winning companies as examples of what leading companies are doing, outlining their successful programs, and sharing the return on investment each company experiences.

  • For decades, the MOTOR Magazine Top 20 Tools Awards recognized the most outstanding achievements in automotive tools and equipment.

    This year, MOTOR announced the successor to this industry-respected tradition: the MOTOR Top 20. These awards welcomed not only tools and equipment, but any automotive industry solution developed in the past year, such as shop supplies, training materials, virtual classes, products, replacement parts and process improvements.

  • Recognizing companies and agencies that provide automotive information through outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations efforts throughout the past year. The communications awards cover several Business to Consumer and Business to Business categories.
